Hi, just a bit of nonsense that came to me recently. I think Jan called it "Flash Fiction"
Regards to you all. Don.
P.S. Can someone please post "something " - "anything".

STAINED TEA-CUP

The tea-cup sat on the worktop. The glowing dial of the microwave made the red lipstick traces glow eerily blue.
He didnít wash the cup last night with the plates and cutlery from the meal they had finished. He didnít wash it with his breakfast pots or with the soup bowl and wine glass
from tonightís evening meal.
He couldnít bring himself to put the cup into the soapy water, where the lipstick would be washed away. So there it sat and would continue to sit - a last reminder of her presence in his life.
He knew she had gone for good this time, but the tea-cup and the lipstick, would sit on that worktop - until the hurt went away.

Love using an 'object' as focus of writing - brings focus to piece - well addressed in these powerful flash fiction of yours Don.

Thanks for posting.

Jan
