Chris was a brave soldier but he was also a humanitarian person, who cared about the welfare of others. I dedicated 2 poems to his memory:
'Sleep Now Gentle Soldier' and 'Hymn For A Fallen Hero'. His sacrifice has been an inspiration to the endeavours to do good for others to which I have been committed in life.

A brave soldier, gone but not forgotten shining down from his star above... May he rest in peace.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I will never forget him. He was my first love and will stay in my heart forever.
I think of him often with pride and love.

Remembering Lance Corporal Christopher Keith Lovett who died administering medical care to the wounded on Mount Longdon in the Falkland Islands conflict all those years ago aged 24. He was handsome, profane, inebriated, irreverent, licentious, lascivious, fearless and absolutely perfect.

Another medic, another well-rounded man.

I think that you have to be a thoroughly emotional person to be a good medic.

Live long in our memories Chris Lovett from another medic.

War is a racket. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.
