Hi Folks,

sorry its been a while, no new poems for a bit and i am maxed out with my normal work and also I am an admin/trainer for a new program rolling out across our company, and I have spent many an hour in and out of work preparing it.

On a good note, I am hoping to start my volunteer work with the local mental health outreach program, and as such I have just been accepted on a two day Mental Health First Aid course. So I am stoked about that.

I hope you are all as well as can be and looking after yourselves.

Cheers

Chris

Hi Gang,

well i have completed the MHFA course, and I think it has already helped one person up at my local wargaming club. So for that alone it was worth it.
Trying to get my company to buy into it and get some more people trained up on it to spread the wealth.

Just about done the training at the company, just some stragglers to go...one thing teaching them, quite another to get them to use it.

hope you are all well

cheers

Chris

Aye good luck Mike, thats yet another great reason for me to have done it...spreading the word to others.
for some its a difficult concept to get their head around.
Are you doing it for work, through ya work place, or off your own back?

cheers

Chris

P.s. Thanks Peter, I hope I can really help some folks now.

Hello Chris,
Good for you my friend, as Mike has indicated I will also try and enrol on a local course if possible. I will be doing it for any personal benefit it may provide, which may also afford the opportunity to help someone else in need. Thank you Chris.
God Bless,
Richard

got ya, well in that case I wish you both all the best, Its a good little course, and for me was an eye opener. A few things I will definately do differently in the future.

Just got an email today, saying they have arranged some evening and weekend support for me at the residence I am hoping to volunteer in.
A couple of hurdles left, admin side really...

the only thing they need to choose now is art... or creative writing?

Got an email back today saying that the course will go ahead and asking me to complete the paperwork. But then dropped the bombshell that I have to pay £150 to attend!!!. The website says cost is n/a so bit gutted TBH; being unemployed through ill health I cannot afford that!

Rgds,
Mike

Hi Mike, Had a look at the website, some courses say cost £0.00 or n/a while others say £700.00 seems a bit strange. Pity I think you would have got a lot out of it. Keeping my fingers crossed that something else may pop up. Be cheeky give them a ring and ask what's going on.
Good luck
Peter
