Hi we're looking forward to the booklaunch at Brighton on the 27th except for the journey as we'll be travelling down from Liverpool which means a 6 hour drive either way! (We've looked into train fares and it's very very expensive).
We're thinking we'll need to stay overnight, either on the Friday or the Saturday.
Can anyone recommend cheap and cheerful (and clean!) accommodation near to or easily accessible to the Grand Hotel?

I'll reply properly tomorrow and see what I can find out for you - Brighton itself is not cheap - may be better staying just outside.

Tried a friend who knew Brighton but no ideas, sorry - I shall repost this to Tom - Admin, so he can put it out to other members who are travelling, to see what they are doing.

I throughly enjoyed the Book signing event !!! Meeting Dame Vera Lyn was a truly humbling experince and a privelege.
It was great to see Mac and Jan and so many other friendly faces... i feel like I am part of an organization that I believe will go far ....

| Nice to meet everybody again Mac and a shame that Debbie was unwell and unable to accompany you but I trust she is on the mend . It was a also a disappointment for young James and Paula as he was unwell but perhaps another time. No doubt your motivation is once again re-inforced Shrubby |
